Two friends
Once upon a time there were 2 friends. They were living in the same street, in the same “block” house. They attended the same classes. Everything they did, they did together. As the children they lived in the world without problems. Used to play football, go swimming. It was the simple world without any alcohol and drugs. During the years, these two friends grew up. And the street life and other people influence them in different ways. The first of them started to attend secondary school with focus on mechanics and the second on languages. They did not use to be together than before, they had now different friends at school with distint priorities and ambitions. The first friend tried to be cool, to be accepted by friends they surrounded him and he had the first experience with alcohol and cigarettes. The second one had lot things to do, many homework, activities and the most important thing – friends which through that you can do more if you want, with clear objective in the life, life where the alcohol hadn’t place. As the year we passing, two best friends were friends less and less. However they were still living in the same “block” house, there was now a big barrier between them – alcohol. Five years ago they were still “friends” – but the first friend some with idea to go to work in England. The alcohol now was not the only thing in his life. He started with soft drugs. The second friend has had no information since his first friend left and realised that if his friend did not give up alcohol could be dangerous and too late. After two years the first friend came to England, the second friend had not any information about his first friend. Tried to gain some information from the people living with him in England. What he heard surprised him a lot. The first friend wasn’t alive. He jumped from the bridge, after long depressions and frustrations of life and he died. In this case the alcohol was the main facilitator to start with drugs later. The second friend tried to help to the first friend because he realised that the alcohol and later drugs ruined his friend’s life. The second friend is still studying at University and he plans lot things to do in the future he is enjoying life and he has hobbies. He thinks that it is never late to say “no” to alcohol and with the help of others “it is possible to do more”. The things will never be the same again … but every time you can say NO…
