A story where there´s nothing to tell about

I never got to know my grandfather.

He had an alcohol problem and often drank too much. My mother told me how embarrassing it was for her to come home from school and step over her father, who was stinking of alcohol and urine.

One evening in the winter he drank too much again and fell asleep outside. He got very sick and died.

It all happened long before I was born and this is the only story I know about my grandfather.
